Fortunately, you can saddle up at the Mill for a free night of music as a part of the newly-initiated Songwriters in Residence series. Running the first and third Wednesday of every month from 7-10, the series aims to showcase local talent in an intimate setting. Tonight’s lineup includes Mike Finders, Sam Knutson, and Scott Cochran of Riverside. If direct songwriting and respect for folk traditions is your thing you might want to check this out. It’s a non-smoking show that will be over as quickly as it started, so get there on time, order yourself a pint and some Mill spaghetti, and sit back and enjoy.
