Freakin’ Peek: The Tanks pt. II

You got a taste of the latest by The Tanks last night, and now you can have this for keeps. You can pop it on your iPod, mash it on a mixtape, rock it on your hardrive whenever you damn well please. So here ya go, kiddies, enjoy.

But maybe that just ain’t enough. Maybe you have a hole in your record collection that only The Tanks can fill. Well, Wednesday night, you can get your mits on a physical copy. The Tanks will have a run of 500 copies of the new record on vinyl (pictured above), screen printed with art from Ryan Garbes (Wet Hair, ex-Raccoo-oo-oon) as well as 500 copies of CD with screen printed cardboard casing pictured here. This is some pretty looking packaging for some pretty awesome tunes. All care of the fine, fine folks at Secenester Credentials.
That’s a great reason to have a show, if you’ve ever actually needed a reason for a show. And The Tanks have a roster flush with local talent for their release show. Our oft written about friends Wet Hair will bring their spooky, dub-infused noise. Trash Dog will trash the joint with their sloppy, thrashy, wiggy art punk (peep the song below). There’ll also be those missionfreakers Datagun, who’ll do that whole indie-industrial-noise-pop thing all over you. And opening up proceedings is STUBB. STUBB is, well, STUBB is the ace in the hole. Let’s just say that I have it from credible sources that there is sufficient reason not to miss this opener.
