It’s Coming, It’s Coming, It’s Coming: Vol. 2, A Mixtape

In the second volume of this installment, I present to you, fair reader, a sampler of the various bands playing at the Mission Creek Festival this year. Featuring many of the lesser-known bands playing this year’s installment of the festival, it will provide you a solid hour of entertainment and probably more because you’ll want to listen to some of the songs again and again. It’s a solid tape from beginning to end, if I say so myself. But, I only made it. What do I know?

In terms of flow, it starts off folky, but the intensity ramps up gradually. By the middle, you’re in a noisy wonderland. The tape finishes with a series of smooth pop songs. I preemptively apologize for the cover art. I’m not good with things like that, so I did what I could. It was also exacerbated by the fact that I did it in Paint. I gave you a cover so you wouldn’t have to stare at a blank space when you’re listening to this on your iPod or looking at it on your computer at home. The faces of Kim & Thurston will be a reminder that this festival is still coming and that you should be at as many shows as humanly possible. Take this with you if you’re travelling as it will provide solid jams in your car/plane/houseboat/recreational vehicle/truck/semi/moving thing.

Also, over Spring Break, this playlist will become digital as soon as I figure some things out. This means that you won’t have to download it; you can just stream it from this page.

In the meantime, download it, listen to it, love it, share it with others. This festival’s going to be huge. We’ll do our best to make sure that no one is left in the dark. There will be more installments of this series as the festival nears closer, so keep your eyes peeled to this blog.
