Rap trio Flatbush Zombies formed in 2010 and made their debut on the Internet in 2012 with a video that celebrated two of their favorite things: weed and waffles (“Thug Waffle”). They flashed gold fangs at the camera, smoked L’s like its legal, and ate waffles next to Sour Diesel nuggets. Sharing a Jamaican background and hailing from the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York City, rappers Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice and Erick “The Architect” Elliott (also their regular producer), are part of the East Coast hip hop movement known as “Beast Coast” along with fellow Brooklyn-based rappers The Underachievers and Pro Era.
