Pillar Point is the synth-pop indie project of Seattle, Washington based musician Scott Reitherman. Wrapped in vintage synthesizers, drum kits and dark slinking bass lines, Pillar Point pulses with an organic heartbeat beneath a warm, analog fabric. Reitherman broke off of indie-pop band Throw Me the Statue to release the self-titled debut LP in 2014 on Polyvinyl Records. The follow up to Pillar Point was the guest filled new wave dance record Marble Youth produced by Of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes. The album includes drum appearances by Cameron Gardner of Washed Out and Phillip Mayer of Kishi Bashi creating a rhythmic whirlwind.
