Becca Rice’s songwriting proves to be the focal point for much of what the indie-rock project Subatlantic aims to do. Rice (lead vocals, guitar) and Adam Kaul (guitar, banjo, bass, vocals) have been playing music together since the 1990s in their hometown of Fargo, ND. After spending years studying, working and playing music in England, Ireland and Buffalo, NY, they settled in Rock Island, IL where they met Phil Pracht (drums, vocals) and Sean Chapman (guitar, bass, cello, vocals). Subatlantic released Not louder, but closer on May 28th of 2015. The project was recorded at The Horseshack in Rock Island.
