Virtuosic folk singer-songwriter, guitarist, and drummer Joshua Tillman, recognized for his solo-work and percussive involvement in Fleet Foxes and Saxon Shore, has assumed the moniker Father John Misty to pursue and inspire new musical ambitions. His critically-acclaimed debut album Fear Fun earned the exciting performer headlining spots at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Newport Folk Festival, all leading to the highly anticipated sophomore release I Love You, Honeybear (Feb. 10th). Freed by his pseudonym, Tillman’s new breed of composed psychedelic honky-tonk folk, combined with humorous and gregarious lyrics based on his ridiculous life experiences has been referred to by Pitchfork as “his best [work] to date”.
