Mission Creek Festival is a weeklong experience that takes over the venues and spaces of downtown Iowa City creating an easily navigated nexus music, literature, and art. As with past festivals, the upcoming festival will feature a strong balance of national, international, and regional musicians, writers, and artists performing and exhibiting their work in downtown venues like the Englert Theatre, The Mill, Blue Moose Tap House, Public Space One, Java House, Prairie Lights, the Public Library, the Yacht Club, and more. Our event is not just a series of concerts, readings, and shows: it is a happening. Every year we challenge downtown Iowa City to recognize, embrace, and even exceed its cultural potential. Come join us. Let’s have fun!

Mission Creek Festival is mostly supported by a volunteer effort, the sponsorships of local and regional donors, a dedicated and expanding audience, and awesome artists, musicians, writers, and talent agents who are feeling our small-town vibe. We also want to thank our fiscal sponsor and parent organization: The James Gang – without their undying support we couldn’t do this.
